With a nod to the turmoil that continues to grip our region and state, WWJ-TV launched its award-winning "Eye on the Future" community initiative in 2007 to put a spotlight on these issues and investigate what is taking place to prepare for the future.

WWJ-TV's "Eye on the Future" initiative has included prime time TV specials and community efforts that focus on these vital issues impacting all of us.

The inaugural TV special was the Emmy Award Winning Building Bridges: From the Great Lakes to the Great Wall which aired in late 2007 amid international acclaim and focused on the global challenges impacting our state in business, education and other issues.

Powering Michigan's Future aired in May of 2008 on WWJ-TV and focused on how alternative energy efforts could create new opportunities for Michigan.

RX for Michigan is next prime time special in this series.  This special presentation will air Saturday, Feb. 7 at 9 p.m. on WWJTV and will examine whether the healthcare industry can serve as a prescription for what ails Michigan.
