Lori Pinson, Meteorologist for First Forcast Mornings, delivers your weather without the wait. Weekdays from 5 to 7 a.m.

A Master of Science graduate student from the Johns Hopkins University, Lori comes home to Detroit from WGAL in the Lancaster/Harrisburg, Pennsylvania market. She previously worked in the weather departments at WPHL-TV in Philadelphia, WUSA in Washington, D.C., WBFF-TV in Baltimore, MD, and KSDK in St. Louis., MO.

Among her accomplishments, Pinson worked with the Baltimore Science Center developing programs for children and learned sign language to develop a program at WBFF-TV in Baltimore to bring severe weather information to the hearing-impaired. The Emmy winner has received numerous other awards, including the NWA Broadcaster of the Year Award and Associated Press Awards. She has been honored for her broadcasts by the Society of Professional Journalists, and holds a seal from the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association, for which she is also an evaluator.
