I grew up east of Cleveland in a small town called Chesterland  and left home (a month after turning 18) for Phoenix. Went to broadcasting school and worked on the air  as a Disc Jockey & Airborne Traffic Reporter at  KOY, Y95, KOOL, KQEZ & KBBT in Phoenix.

At one point I was working at 4 different radio stations at one time to gain experience and learn the ropes  both on the air and behind the scenes. I never slept and was driving 3 hours a day WITH NO AIR CONDITIONING IN MY CAR. Did I mention this was PHOENIX? I would actually blow the hot air from outside through my vents just to get some extra breeze (having the windows wide open isn't enough when it's 117 outside) and I wore tube socks on my hands so I could touch the steering wheel.

I lived on 44 ounce diet pops from Circle K and would sweat them out by the time I got to my next station. After 6 years I met my (now ex) Husband. He was in his last year at A.S.U. and we left for his home town of Dearborn in 1988. I had my son, Steven in June 1991.

We moved to Novi in December 2004. I've worked as a Jock at Z95, Q95, WCXI and STAR97 and spent a year as a Weekend Weather Authority on FOX 2. I flew in the WWJ Chopper for 13 years reporting traffic and breaking news before leaving for WDIV Local 4 to be in the studio on the morning show as their Traffic Reporter.  I also flew in the Sky 4 Chopper reporting breaking news when needed for their Noon, 5, 6 and sometimes 11PM newscasts along with a few street reports. I left in December of 2004 and was doing freelance commercials and then –heard WNIC needed someone part-time. I'd been trying to get in to WNIC since I moved to this area in 1988. FINALLY in May of 2007—I got my foot in the door.  Another plus, I'm lucky to be able to fill-in and do traffic for Tami Lockhart when she goes on her vacations, too.

Now, I've landed at WWJTV and look forward to working with Jim Madaus.
