This is a free exhibit at The Albert L. Lorenzo Cultural Center!
 
This event will have a series of exhibits including photos, artifacts and displays, highlighting a timeline of immigration, the Ellis Island experience, ethnic groups and occupations in southeast Michigan, the cultural heritage of local ethnic groups - and featuring a downsized version of the Statue of Liberty. There will also be scheduled times to trace your ancestry with local librarian experts in genealogy research.

A Journey of Hope: Michigan's Immigrant Experience provides a multifaceted perspective of the experiences, challenges and dreams of those who left their homelands to make a new life in Michigan. The series offers a variety of exhibits, performances, activities and presentations from subject experts as well as from those who immigrated and forged new lives here.

The exhibit will be open September 27 - November 23, Wednesday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm and Sunday, 1 - 4pm.
