Organizers for this years race decided to combine the 4 miler run and 2 miler walk so that everyone can enjoy the cheering crowd along the St. Patrick's Day parade route.
The race begins at the Old Central Train Station, Michigan and Vernor, then heads out to Campus Martius and then returns back. Advance registration can be completed at Total Runner, two locations, Southfield and Southgate. Registration can also take place the day of the race beginning at 10am until 11:30 am at the corner of Michigan Ave. and Vernor.
While supplies last, runners will be given a "high tech" fabric shirt, with a special fit for men and women. This beautiful kelly green technical knit shirt features vents in the fabric that wicks away moisture from the body to reduce chafing.
This is more than just a race! A costume contest will be held at 11:45 am with gaelic prizes awarded to the best overall male, female and team costumes.
St. Patrick's food program will be receiving your donated canned items, look for the blue donation tent near the registration area.
