Lupus Support Groups

If you or a loved one is suffering with lupus, there are several lupus support groups in Metro-Detroit holding meetings this month. To register for the meetings call 586-775-8310 or 800-705-6677.
Tuesday, February 9, 2010 - 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
The Greater Lapeer Area Lupus Peer Group meeting will be held at the Lapeer Regional Medical Center, 1375 N. Main Street, Lapeer, MI 48446 in Conference Room 5.
Executive Director Chuck Pottenger will hold a discussion called Continue The Journey to Acceptance. Plans for a Lupus Walk in Lapeer will also be discussed.
Wednesday, February 10, 2010 – 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm
The Farmington Hills Area Support Group will meet at the Farmington Hills Main Library in Conference Room A. The Library is located at 32737 W. 12 Mile Road in Farmington Hills, MI 48334.
The featured speaker will be Sandy Lopez, LMSW, ACSW.

The East Detroit Lupus Support Group Meeting will be held at the Lupus Alliance of America Michigan Indiana Office, 26507 Harper Ave, St. Clair Shores, MI.
This month's discussion topic entitled A New You is Just Around the Corner features Nutritionist Lisa Merrill who will focus on diabetes and high blood pressure. Family members and friends are encouraged to participate.

The Downtown Detroit Lupus Group Meeting will be held at Hannan House, 4750 Woodward Ave., Detroit, MI 48201 in Ground Floor Room C.
