Volunteer Fair/ Feel Good Day

The Cities of Oak Park and Huntington Woods will be sponsoring a Volunteer Fair and Feel Good Day
Date: Tuesday, June 30th
Time: 10:00am-1:00pm
Place: Oak Park Community Center 14300 Oak Park Blvd Oak Park Mi.
The purpose of the fair is two-fold. First: To recruit adults who are looking for meaningful Volunteer Opportunities. Over 20 local community organizations will be on hand to meet with each person to explain how they can volunteer with their organization. A few of the many organizations include: The Michigan Humane Society, Focus Hope, WXYZ Call for Action, Beaumont Hospital Volunteer Services and more. Oftentimes volunteer positions lead to paid positions-so it is a good way to get your foot in the door if you are looking for future employment. Or if you are looking strictly for a Volunteer Position-you will be recognized and valued for your work and receive much personal gratification in your work helping others.
Second: We will have personal services here that will provide ways each person can--Feel Good! A few of the services that will be on hard include: Make-up Demonstrations /free, Mini Manicures/ $5 and Chair Massages-$1/per minute.
The fee to attend the Volunteer Fair/Feel Good Day is Free! (except for the optional fees for the Feel Good services).Free light refreshments will be available. Advance reservations are required.
