PART TIME NEWSCAST DIRECTOR
WWJ-TV in Detroit is looking for an experienced live-broadcast director. Responsible for directing daily 2-hr. live weather, traffic, and news headlines show, and CBS Early Show morning cut-ins. Hands-on knowledge of INEWS is essential. Three years prior experience in live programming is required. College degree preferred.
Qualified applicants must have excellent organizational and puzzle solving skills plus attention to detail. Must be able to work well under pressure with absolute accuracy and meet daily deadlines. Knowledge of TV Traffic systems and previous experience in related fields are a plus. College graduate preferred.

ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN (Part Time)
We are looking for technicians with previous television experience. Applicants with a background in broadcast audio console operation are preferred. Applicants should also be familiar with other studio production skills, such as camera, floor managing, graphics, and lighting. Previous experience with master control operation, video file servers and file based workflows, and satellite receive systems is a plus.
Applicants must be highly self-motivated and able to work various hours including weekends. This is a part-time, union position.

PART TIME METEOROLOGIST
WWJTV, Detroit's CBS Television Station has an opening for the position of Part Time Meteorologist. We are looking for an experienced on-air Meteorologist to report weather for live and/or taped cut-ins during regular programming, and fill in as needed for morning, evening, or weekend First Forecast Weather shows.
Successful candidate will be able to present weather information on-air with confidence, report live and on-tape – scripted and unscripted information for the viewing area, ensure daily show production deadlines are met, create graphics on the WSI computer, and contribute story ideas. Must be innovative, organized, and results oriented, have a strong knowledge of local and national weather, possess the ability to assemble high quality video and editorial content, write and edit broadcast copy, and work under deadline pressure. Television weather producing and anchoring experience required, preferably three – five years experience in a top 20 market. AMS Seal preferred but not required. Degree in Meteorology or similar field preferred. Will need to be available to work irregular hours, including weekends, and holidays.

We are looking for someone who can sell this station's commercial inventory to advertising agencies, retailers, manufacturers, and distributors and effectively market the station to current and potential clients. Will also focus on new business development for the station. Strong presentation and negotiation skills a must. Ideal candidate will be detail oriented, creative, energetic and driven to succeed. Degree preferred. Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Market experience preferred.
