Michigan is at a crossroads.
With a shifting economy, coupled with the loss of hundreds of thousands of auto manufacturing jobs, Michigan's prospects for the future have changed.
Many business, political and educational leaders are looking at alternative energy as a possible path to help diversify our economy and lead us to our new future.
On Sunday, May 25 from 11-11:30 p.m., WWJTV proudly presented "Powering Michigan's Future," a look at how Michigan is gearing up for alternative energy opportunities.
As part of WWJTV's community initiative "Eye on the Future," Carol Cain, Community Affairs and Editorial Director, and Paul Pytlowany, Chief Videographer, traveled across the state to show viewers what is taking place on the alternative energy front and who is leading the way.
"Our "Eye on the Future" specials are designed to look at the people and the projects that position Michigan for the 21st Century," said Trey Fabacher, Vice-President and General Manager WWJTV/CW 50.
"With so much impacting our state and our communities, Carol and Paul have once again teamed up on "Powering Michigan's Future" to provide a special report that will inform and entertain viewers," Fabacher added.
