Detroit's University Preparatory High School announced Friday that the school will pay ALL costs for each of the 124 students in the current senior class who meet the requirements of what it calls a hope contract to attend their first year of college.
Marching bands to take the field at state finals
Forty of the top high school marching bands in the state are to be on Ford Field in Detroit today for the Michigan Competing Band Association's state finals. The bands qualified for the final on the basis of their scores in previous contests throughout the fall.
